Local Security Operations Supervisor (LSOC Supervisor)
The Local Security Operations Supervisor (LSOC Supervisor) is responsible for leading the day-to-day security monitoring and response activities of the company’s Local Security Operations Center (LSOC) in Colombia.
The role oversees a local team composed of a Risk Analyst and a CCTV Operator, ensuring effective monitoring of alarms, incidents, and emerging risks affecting company operations and employees in the region. The Supervisor acts as the primary operational reference for local incidents and coordinates directly with Corporate Security teams, including Incident Response & Crisis, Executive Protection, Physical Security and the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that local security operations align with the company’s global security operational procedures standards while adapting procedures to the realities of each country. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining strong situational awareness of local risks such as protests, civil unrest, or emerging threats that may impact employees, facilities, or operations.
During non-business hours, the role ensures seamless handover of relevant incidents and monitoring activities to the GSOC in Brazil, maintaining continuity of global coverage.
The Supervisor operates in close coordination with the GSOC Integration Lead and the local Corporate Security representative, contributing to training, operational alignment, and the continuous improvement of security operations in the region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Local Security Operations Leadership- Lead the daily operations of the Local Security Operations Center (LSOC), supervising the Risk Analyst and CCTV Operator.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of facilities, alarms, incidents, and security events affecting local operations.
- Maintain situational awareness of local risks including protests, civil disturbances, criminal activity, or other developments that may affect company operations.
- Act as the primary escalation point for security incidents occurring within the region.
- Coordinate local incident response actions in collaboration with the Corporate Security Incident Response & Crisis team.
- Ensure incidents are properly documented, categorized, and escalated according to established protocols.
- Support crisis coordination when local events escalate and ensure communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide timely reporting and operational updates to Corporate Security leadership and GSOC teams.
- Coordinate and supervise monitoring activities related to Executive Protection missions occurring locally in collaboration with the Corporate Security Executive Protection Team.
- Maintain situational awareness related to executive movements and ensure timely escalation of potential risks affecting executive security.
- Supervise the CCTV Operator to ensure proper monitoring of camera systems, alarms, and restricted areas.
- Ensure CCTV monitoring supports the identification of suspicious behavior, security violations, or incidents requiring escalation.
- Support local investigations through CCTV review and analysis when incidents occur. Alarm Response & Security Systems
- Supervise alarm monitoring activities including intrusion alarms, access control alerts, and fire alarm events.
- Coordinate appropriate responses such as notifying security teams, supporting evacuations, and ensuring incident reporting.
- Ensure compliance with access control policies and restricted area monitoring.
- Maintain communication with on-site security personnel and guards via radio or other communication channels.
- Coordinate response to security incidents, suspicious activity, or operational disruptions.
- Support field teams when incidents require coordination between monitoring and on-site response.
- Ensure proper handover of incidents, alerts, and monitoring activities to the GSOC in São Paulo outside local business hours.
- Maintain alignment with the global GSOC network to ensure continuity of monitoring and response.
- Work closely with the GSOC Integration Lead to maintain operational consistency across regions.
- Adapt global security procedures and SOPs to reflect local operational realities, regulations, and risks while maintaining compliance with global Corporate Security standards.
- Identify local operational gaps and provide feedback to improve procedures and monitoring practices.
- Supervise and mentor LSOC team members, ensuring high operational standards and accountability.
- Conduct shift briefings and ensure consistent situational awareness across the team.
- Support onboarding, training, and operational exercises in coordination with the GSOC Integration Lead.
- Maintain accurate logs of incidents, alerts, and operational activities.
- Provide regular shift reports and operational updates to Corporate Security leadership.
- Support operational metrics and performance monitoring for LSOC activities.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC/GSOC) or security monitoring environment.
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating operational security teams.
- Strong understanding of incident response, risk monitoring, and crisis communication.
- Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a strong plus.
- Experience working with security technologies including CCTV systems, access control, alarm monitoring platforms, and incident management tools.
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure and make timely operational decisions.
- Experience working in multinational security operations environments.
- Familiarity with GSOC frameworks, SLAs, and operational quality standards.
- Experience supporting executive protection monitoring activities.
- Knowledge of civil unrest monitoring, OSINT-based situational awareness, or regional threat analysis.
